Railway line no. 171

Task name: Revitalisation of the railway line no. 171 at the section Kozioł rail junction – Juliusz siding junction as a part of the Project: ”Prace na południowo-wschodniej obwodnicy GOP wraz z przyległymi odcinkami”.

Scope regarding bridge industry:

Revitalisation of 15 engineering structures, including: 

– flyovers – 8 pcs.

– culverts – 7 pcs.

Revitalisation of the aforementioned structures includes:

– Repair of supports with addition of anti-corrosion protection, development of sills and wings, repair of insulation and drainage, anti-corrosion coating for steel structures, adjustment of handrails to applicable laws, re-profiling and reinforcement of embankment cones.

The scope of repair of the flyover at km 18.285 over Maczkowska street in Sosnowiec includes:

– repair of abutments and their further development

– replacement of the load-bearing structure with a simple-supported concrete girder span structure, separated with a longitudinal expansion joint

– completion of the flyover’s insulation and drainage

– development of bearings

– development of handrails

Structure’s geometrical parameters:

• Structure’s total length 24.10 m
• Structure’s width 24 m
• Span length 50 m
• Theoretical span length 80 m
• Designed height 60 m
• Horizontal clearance gauge under the structure 50 m
• Vertical clearance under the structure 4.20 m

The engineering structures are located in the line of the railway line no. 171 Dąbrowa Górnicza Towarowa – Panewnik, a national-level double-track electrified line.
